Highbury Communications is a boutique consultancy providing strategic communications and public affairs advice to ambitious scale-ups, established innovators and top-tier global businesses. 

We implement corporate PR and public affairs campaigns that deliver commercial results.

We offer strategic communications services such as planning and strategy, corporate storytelling and messaging, and issues and crisis management. We also offer public affairs advice such as policy and political monitoring, stakeholder engagement, government relations and policy and consultation responses.

Our clients are typically tech businesses, financial institutions, and professional services firms.

The role

After several new business wins, we’re looking for a versatile and ambitious consultant (senior account executive to account manager) to hit the ground running.

The opportunity

Responsibilities
  • Understanding our clients’ propositions and business and comms objectives
  • Leading campaigns with autonomy from senior colleagues
  • Monitoring political and policy developments
  • Helping identify and analyse critical stakeholders and policymakers
  • Contributing to government consultation responses, submissions and policy briefs
  • Delivering high impact media relations in the national, business and sector media
  • Creating engaging thought leadership and written content
  • Nurturing relationships with journalists and policymakers
  • Keeping abreast of the political, policy and news agenda across relevant sectors and

About you

Experience
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a PR or public affairs agency
  • Have run a PR and/or public affairs campaigns
  • Managed accounts and built relationships with clients, policymakers and journalists
  • Knowledge of how to identify and engage stakeholders and build coalitions
  • First-class written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and evidence of industry
